Open Slopes in the Pyrenees

Check live slope conditions across the Pyrenees in seconds !

Got ski fever? Before heading out, check how many slopes and lifts are open at your favourite resorts.

No need to check each resort individually. The N’PY team brings together all the key information in one place: open slopes, operating lifts, resort sectors, avalanche risk, and more.

At N'PY, information on open slopes across the Pyrenees is updated in real time from 8:30 every morning. Our ski patrollers, present on the mountain from dawn, validate the opening of each lift and each slope based on frost conditions, wind, and snow safety (PIDA avalanche prevention plan).

A forecast update is issued at 9:00, and then continuously throughout the ski area’s opening hours depending on mechanical, weather, or operational changes.

At the end of the day, at 6:00 p.m., an initial forecast for the following day is published.

Note: times are given for guidance only.

At all N’Py resorts, the first ski lifts open at 9:00 a.m.

However, this time may vary by 15 to 30 minutes (or more in exceptional cases) depending on weather conditions and slope safety operations (PIDA) carried out by our ski patrollers at dawn.

Tip: if you want to be the first to make tracks on freshly groomed snow, arrive at the bottom of the slopes around 8:45 a.m.

At each N’Py resort, beginner areas are clearly identified. In our opening status table, check the slope colours (green and blue runs) as well as the status of conveyor belts and drag lifts.

At Gourette, for example, the Bezou sector is a priority safe area for early opening, ideal for families who want to learn to ski in complete peace of mind.

Snow conditions alone are not enough: safety is our top priority.

A slope may remain closed so that ski patrollers can secure the area, or so that grooming teams can stabilise the snowpack after heavy snowfall.

If a link between two valleys is closed, it is often due to a significant avalanche risk, strong winds, or poor visibility for rescue teams.
