Located at several points across each resort, the panoramic webcams let you discover real-time visibility and weather conditions, giving you all the information you need to calmly plan your ski days or summer activities.
To prepare your stay in the Pyrenees ski resorts or check conditions before heading up to the mountains, you’re in the right place.
The best panoramic webcams are usually located at the highest points of the ski areas to offer a 360° view.
At N’PY, we particularly recommend the Pic du Midi webcam (2,877 m) for its sweeping view of the Pyrenees mountain range, or the summit webcam at Piau-Engaly to observe natural snow conditions at high altitude.
If the image is completely white or grey, it usually means the resort is experiencing a “whiteout” or that the camera lens is covered in frost after overnight snowfall.
This is often good news for skiing! Check the timestamp at the bottom of the image: if it’s recent, get ready to ski in foggy conditions or check the weather forecast to see when it will clear.
Absolutely! The Pyrenees never sleep.
In summer, our webcams let you check cloud cover before a hike to Lac de Gaube or a mountain bike session at the Barèges Bike Park.
It’s the perfect tool to see whether the peaks are clear before heading up.
Our webcams are mainly focused on the ski slopes and base areas of the resorts.
For road conditions, we recommend combining the view from our lower-altitude webcams (such as Gourette or Luz-Ardiden) with the road information updates we provide.
You can also check your local departmental road information website to anticipate snow clearing operations.
Yes! Most of our webcams (such as those at Peyragudes or La Pierre Saint Martin) offer a “timelapse” or “archive” feature. This allows you to relive the previous day’s snowfall or observe how the snow cover has evolved over the past 24 hours.
It’s the perfect tool to check whether the forecasted powder really fell before heading out!
N’PY team’s little secret: if you missed a spectacular sunrise at the Pic du Midi, use the timeline slider under the webcam player. You can scroll back and take a screenshot of the sunlit Pyrenees… it’s our favourite desktop wallpaper in the office!
