On-Piste Rescue Insurance
« Assur'Glisse Pyrénées N'Py »
The “Assur'Glisse Pyrénées N'Py” insurance is designed to cover the Insured in the event of medical repatriation following a skiing or snow sports accident, or in the event of death occurring during their stay at the resort.
The “ASSUR’GLISSE PYRENEES N’PY” insurance also reimburses the Insured for healthcare expenses not covered by basic health insurance and/or any other insurance or provident organization, as well as unused lift pass days and ski lessons.
Repatriation assistance in Europe in case of accident or death
Transport / repatriation / repatriation of remains up to €1,525 per insured person
Additional reimbursement of medical expenses following a skiing accident
Up to €3,000 (for non-residents in France) and €1,500 for nationals (per person / €30 deductible)
Reimbursement of mountain search costs, rescue costs and initial medical transport
Up to €15,245 if the accident occurs in a neighboring country. Coverage from the first euro if the accident occurs in France (no advance payment required)
Reimbursement of reserved sports and leisure activities, or lift passes, ski/snowboard lessons – (excluding the “loss or theft of lift pass” guarantee)
Up to €305 per insured person per claim. In case of medical repatriation, up to €1,000 per insured family per claim.
Failure by the Insured to comply with official prohibitions
as well as the Insured's failure to comply with official safety rules related to the practice of a sporting activity
Natural disasters occurring during the contract
Accidents caused by an insurrection, riot, conspiracy, or popular movements in which the Insured actively participated
Any eventual consequences (check-ups, follow-up treatments, relapses) of a condition that resulted in repatriation within six (6) months prior to the assistance request
Failure by the Insured to comply with official prohibitions and safety rules related to the practice of a sporting activity
Damage occurring before the subscription of this contract
Damage of any kind decided, caused, or provoked by the Insured or with their complicity, or resulting from gross negligence, or intentional or fraudulent acts of the Insured
Criminal convictions involving the Insured
Suicide or attempted suicide by the Insured
Damage resulting from the Insured’s consumption of alcohol and/or the intake of medications, drugs, or narcotic substances listed in the Public Health Code, not medically prescribed
Criminal convictions involving the Insured
Pregnant women must consult a doctor before planning their stay at the resort and obtain a medical examination no more than 48 hours before departure
Minor children must carry valid identification documents
The "Assistance - Repatriation" guarantee:
This guarantee applies only to returns to Europe and the French overseas departments and territories (DROM-COM), excluding countries not covered.
Other guarantees:
These guarantees apply in mainland France and neighboring countries, provided they are directly accessible via ski lifts located in mainland France. This excludes countries listed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs as being in a state of civil or foreign war, experiencing significant political instability, suffering reprisals, or subject to restrictions on the free movement of people and goods, regardless of the reason, including health, security, or meteorological concerns; countries experiencing acts of terrorism; countries that have suffered natural disasters or nuclear disintegration; and countries experiencing any other event of force majeure.
Upon signing the contract
The Insured is required to pay the premium.
In the event of a claim
The Insured must, under penalty of forfeiture of coverage, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure:
Report the claim within fifteen (15) business days of becoming aware of it to the Insurer and provide the Insurer with all documents and supporting evidence necessary for the implementation of the coverage.
The premium is payable immediately upon subscription of the contract when purchasing the ASSUR’GLISSE PYRENEES N’PY title.
Coverage begins
Ski insurance takes effect upon the first use of the ASSUR’GLISSE PYRENEES N’PY pass.
Coverage ends
Ski insurance automatically terminates at the end of the validity period of the ASSUR’GLISSE PYRENEES N’PY pass.
You can report a claim
By logging into the insurer's website at the following address: https://montagne.wtwco.com/?dashboard=npy
You can terminate the contract.
Cancellation: The insured may cancel the contract within 14 calendar days from the date of conclusion of the contract (Articles L112-19 and L112-10 of the French Insurance Code).
It should be noted that the insured may no longer exercise their right of cancellation if the contract has been fully performed or if they have reported a covered claim to the insurer during this period.
